Being a mother is hard. It requires so much energy, time, sacrifices and patience that yields little outside reward. The daily routine, responsibility and emotional weight can be so draining. Yet motherhood is very often under appreciated. My Mummy Does Not Go To Work is a tribute to all mothers, especially full time stay at home mothers who spend all their time at home looking after their children. In this book, Kay and Kaizen started by telling how their mother does not go to work and naturally takes on the task of waking up early to prepare them for school. As we follow the two children through the day, all the daily seemingly mundane and trivial tasks add up. It becomes obvious that even though their mother does not go to work, her day commences from early morning to late night. She works for long hours and she works hard. Thankfully, her efforts does not go unnoticed and the children appreciate their mother's sacrifices. This book hopes to serve as a good reminder to everyone to appreciate their mothers' hard work. A must-read book for all children.
